Places Leisure Center, Eastleigh

In the past this has been the venue for the University Southampton Dance (USD) Competition.

There are none, it is a large sports hall with absolutly nothing to help you. There are about four 13A plug sockets in the walls which are positioned in the worst possibel locations so you will need a lot of extension leads.

Luckily we have had relativly low tech requirements in this venue however there are a few things you should bear in mind:

• There is no installed sound system. This means that you need active(?) speakers (with an amp built in).
• It is a very large room and you will need to run cables to many places. Ergo, you will need lots of XLR/power/duct tape. Do not underestimate the amount of cable you will have to tape down.
• You will need to transport everything you want to use from the Annex to the venue, this includes humans. This requires a motorised vehicle.
• The previous event in this venue, everything was done in one day, this means that it will be a very long, loud day for the crew.
