Contrary to the name, this has nothing to do with railways or trains. Instead, you can find all the currently planned dates for Training sessions, Health & Safety training and any professional training courses that you StageSoc plan to go on.
For any Freshers reading this, you can come to as many or as little sessions as you want to do. Apart from needing to be Health & Safety trained; there are no minimum hours, tests or qualifications needed to join in shows. Most skills learnt by StageSoc members are gained in experiance from doing shows, so don't feel afraid to try a role in a show, even if it's your first time. Designer roles are regularly done in tandem with an experianced member so you will be guided every step of the way.
Training sessions are structured to give you access to try whatever skills you want, with whatever piece of gear you'd like to try, outside of shows. This allows you to have a go at your own pace, or receive expert guidance from our Training Mentors:
These people and their specialties are:
💡 Lighting Mentors: Matt & Rish
🔊 Sound Mentors: Simon & Cerys
🛠️ Stage Mentors: Ellie & Sy
