EOS Magic Sheet Custom Fixture Symbols

Created to better represent fixtures we often use in the Annex, supplementing the standard EOS ones. Information on how to create these can be found on the EOS website.

As of November 2023, these symbols are installed on the Annex's ETC Element.

Installation

Note - requires admin privelages*

Download the .zip file and unzip the symbols to:

Windows: C:\Program Files\ETC\EosFamily\v3\Eos\Symbols\ (or wherever your EOS install directory is)

MacOS: /Applications/Eos Family Welcome Screen.app/Contents/MacOS/Eos Family.app/Contents/Resources/Symbols

Then restart EOS and they should appear in the Magic Sheet editor.

You may need to reinstall these after updating EOS.

If you don't have admin privelages, you won't be able to use the method above. You can still get the symbols, but they won't be as convenient to access.

The method described above is not the standard way to import symbols into EOS - this is described here.

However, symbols imported like this will show up under the Image tab of the MS editor, which many people find inconvenient when searching for fixtures (which are normally under the Fixture tab). This is why the recommended installation is to manually put them in the Symbols folder.

Unfortunately, the two methods aren't compatible. If you open a magic sheet made with these fixture symbols installed in the Symbols folder, but you only have the symbols imported via the EOS interface into the `Image` tab, then the MS symbols will not show up. You would need to install them as recommended for them to show up. Sorry!
