Biography
Bobby J (as he likes to be known) is a third year undergraduate studying Mechanical Engineering, although he always seems to end up spending most of his time stressing out over shows; especially sound checks, those trombonists are always the most tedious.
Ever since he started in this business, Rob has been a dedicated noise boy. Starting in school, the very first show he was involved in; My Fair Lady, he was a stage hand, but ever since then he's been hooked on making lots and lots of noise. After operating sound for his year 11 Christmas show; Grease, he left school and did his A-levels at college, including Music Technology. After college, Rob took a gap year when he undertook an HND in Music Production at The Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford.
Since coming to Southampton, Rob has taken an active role in Stagesoc and crewed numerous shows; all of them as something to do with sound. More recently, he has been employed by the Nuffield Theatre as a Casual Techie bodd, who's credits include Design for Tchaikovsky and The Queen of Spades.
